Why "Sleepy Artisan"
Have you ever been so involved in a project that you could not put it down? You find yourself thinking about it at random moments. How to make it better, how to make tiny improvements, what little bits to add and what to remove.
It becomes a consuming passion and you steal time away from other less interesting commitments. It is more that a project; it becomes an art form because you have put so much of yourself into your work. Sometimes the time gets away from you and you have let your "work" stretch far into the night.

This is what I believe about career and technical education
CTE provides every individual with the opportunity to become whatever they want to be in life by providing technical skills on which to build their careers
CTE opens doors to future education by providing a skill that makes the pursuit of future education financially possible
CTE frees individuals from being forced into educational programs that do not meet their personal or professional needs
CTE as a profession has a long and noble history of service to the individual and to society
CTE professionals rarely trumpet the achievements of their peers and profession and for this reason their work does not always receive the recognition that it deserves
Working in career and technical education is a noble calling and I invite you to share and comment on the experiences and issues that celebrate the artistry and creativity of the workers who build our world.
